As with the other exams, you will have two and a half hours to complete the assessment, and there are 105 questions to answer. The questions are multiple-choice.
The questions on this assessment include:
English Language Proficiency – You will need to have excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills, as well as being able to complete sentences, recognize different types of words, and understand writing conventions
Reading Competence – This test is similar to a verbal reasoning assessment. You will be given a passage of text to read, and you’ll need to answer questions about it. This is an assessment of your reading ability but also of your ability to quickly understand and analyze unfamiliar written information
Interpersonal Communication Skills – These questions are most similar to situational judgement tests. You will be given a fictional work-based scenario, followed by several possible courses of action to take to solve the problem you have been presented with. They are looking for your communication skills here
Problem Solving – This section is all about your numerical reasoning skills. You will need to demonstrate that you can use numerical data in the form of tables and graphs to reach logical and reasoned decisions
This test is usually administered for roles such as:

- Human Resources
The Law Enforcement and Protective Services (LEAPS) exam is the test that you will take for entry-level positions in departments relating to law enforcement, corrections and other protective services.
This assessment lasts two and a half hours, and there are 60 questions to answer. The questions are multiple-choice.
The questions are all designed to evaluate you on the necessary skills and qualities you will need for this type of role, including:
Decision Making and Human Relations: 13 questions – These are scenario-based questions similar to a situational judgment assessment, and you will need to answer them based on communication skills. You will need to be able to put actions in order based on logic and timeframes, too
Reading Comprehension: 10 questions – Like a verbal reasoning assessment, you will be evaluated on your ability to quickly read, understand and analyze a passage of text so that you can answer the questions that follow
Mathematics: seven questions – In this part of the assessment, you will be tested on basic math knowledge – using operations (multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division) as well as percentages and fractions. Some of the questions will be word problems
Coding: five questions – These questions are all about choosing the right code to describe a situation based on rules that are used in law enforcement
Reasoning and Problem Solving: 13 questions – More scenario-based problems, this time using logic to deal with common law enforcement situations
English and Effective Writing: 12 questions – These questions are designed to evaluate your ability to use the English language properly. You’ll need to complete sentences, spot spelling mistakes, and use grammar and punctuation properly
You’ll take a LEAPS assessment for the following roles:

The Office Support Exam (OSE) is the assessment that is used in most administrative positions that do not require a degree.
In this assessment, you will be evaluated on:
Processing Information and Data: 35 Questions – This part of the test is mostly about your attention to detail, and the questions will usually be based on lists of data. You might have to sort this data, spot errors in the data, or use it to make decisions as directed
Knowledge of Basic Writing Concepts: 35 questions – This part of the assessment is about your ability to use written English, with knowledge of spelling, grammar and sentence construction
Reading and Following Written Instructions: 30 questions – This is a combination of reading comprehension (like a verbal reasoning test and questions that need you to follow specific details to correctly answer the questions

This assessment is all about the specific skillset that you need to become an engineer, and the test is split into two parts.
There is a total of 160 questions, and you will have two and a half hours to complete the test.

While you need to register for a test to be able to take one, you will not have an opportunity to book ahead, so you need to be prepared to arrive early enough to get a seat.
You won’t be allowed into the test area if you arrive after the test starts, and it is first come, first served, so the earlier you arrive, the better.
To take the test, you need to bring confirmation of your test application, your Social Security number, and an original form of photographic ID.
You will not be allowed to bring a mobile phone to the examination. Still, scratch paper and pencils will be available if you want to make notes or work something out.
