Numerical Reasoning Cut-e Tests

The Aon numerical reasoning tests follow one of two structures.

The most likely version is similar to the format of the verbal reasoning test. You will have several tabs filled with information, in this case, charts, graphs and tables, and you need to determine if the answer is ‘true’, ‘false’ or ‘cannot say’.

There are 37 questions and a 12-minute time limit.

The least likely version is a five-minute assessment of basic mathematics. It is very simple and nothing you will need to prepare for.

Logical Ability Cut-e Assessment Tests

There are several different Aon inductive logical thinking tests so double-check what version you are taking before completing any practice tests.

The current versions are:

Cut-e Inductive-Logic (cls)

This is the most popular version. There are 12 questions to complete in 12 minutes. However, you are not expected to finish the test, so don’t panic if you only make it halfway through.

It is best to be slower and more accurate, than speed through and pick up lots of deductions for incorrect answers.

Each question consists of 10 shapes with nine numbers and letters inside like a grid.

Six of those figures are categorised by an orange or blue indicator.

Your test is to categorise those final four according to the relationships you see.

These relationships could be as simple as all the figures containing only single digits or lowercase, or more complicated such as being multiples of eight, for example.

Aon Deductive-Logic (lst)

This logic test is very similar to sudoku but with shapes instead of numbers. There are 15 questions that need answering in 6 minutes.

The grids are usually 4x4 or 5x5 and consist of several different shapes, empty boxes and a question mark.

There must only be one of each shape in each column and row. You need to decide what shape goes in the box with the question mark.

Cut-e Inductive-Logic (clx)

This version is similar to the Cut-e Inductive-Logic (cls) test. However, this version only lasts six minutes. There is no set number of questions. Instead, you simply answer as many as you can.

You are presented with six 3x3 grids and each square has a shape. The two isolated grids follow the same rule. You need to find the other two grids that match.

Cut-e Inductive-Logic Thinking (ix)

This is one of the easier tests consisting of 20 questions and a five-minute time limit.

You will see nine objects on your screen and you need to find the odd one out.

Cut-e Deductive-Logic Thinking (sx)

In this five-minute test, you will see three objects per question. These objects are then transformed according to a set of rules. Your assessment is to figure out the rule and select the correct operator.
